Turn So So Into So Good With An Electric Meat Tenderizer

There are many benefits to owning an electric meat tenderizer. The most prevalent of these is that any cut of meat, no matter the grade, can be turned into something special. The commercial meat tenderizer that is used most is the style that can do more than just one thing.

An electric meat tenderizer can be purchased with attachments that will allow cuts of beef to be made for jerky or fajitas and there is a cubing attachment for some models that will allow for stew meat to be cut. This is not limited to just these two types of meat either. Poultry, veal, venison and other wild game may be processed using these machines.

By tenderizing meat in an electric meat tenderizer, the cooking time may be cut by as much as 40%. A commercial meat tenderizer can open the tough muscle and tissue up to accept rubs and marinades much easier. Once these have penetrated deep in to the meat, the overall taste of a lower grade cut can be greatly improved.

For those that simply cannot justify the expense of owning an electric tenderizer, there are a few more options. The manual hand-crank style works just as well and other than the lower volume can be a great alternative. These mount temporarily, by using C-clamps, to hold it to a counter or table for use where the electric ones are normally heavy enough not to need this.

There is yet one more option that is both space saving and quite effective. The hand meat tenderizer is a simple instrument made of a combination of an ABS plastic housing and anywhere from 15 to 48 stainless steel blades. These are dishwasher safe, making for easy clean up and very affordable, retailing anywhere from $15.00 to $30.00 depending on the amount of blades and size.
